Abstract

The purpose of this conference was to reflect with the graduates of the Higher Polytechnic Institute Rising Sun of Huambo, on the role of the academic in Angolan society today. Where the author began by reading the text with the title: the seventh wonder of Angola, taken from the book by Pinto (2017), where it was presented how people are treated badly in public and private institutions; where it was also presented the characteristics of the professional "light" in the light of Rojas (sd). Based on the method of conceptualization, problematization and argumentation, the academic concluded that: when the subject is public service in Angolan society today, what we see is sad. Hence, there is an URGENT need for a change in the awareness of the duty of professionals.
