Abstract

Most scientific publications about nursing care process, evaluate the method of action of the nursing staff as scientific, precise and practical working model to meet a patient's specific situation. It consists of five stages: the initial assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation Final. In the second stage features defining calls, occupy a major role as they are indispensable for the observation of the State of health of individuals, families and communities. In close link with the above are related factors that you are the context where takes place the defining characteristics. In this work applies the categorical system mentioned above and proposed by the NANDA for the process of nursing care, from the presentation of a case in which there is evidence of the practical application of what already is, internationally accepted, as a system of diagnostic actions and intervention that all professional nurse must master because they are skills necessary for successful performance in the area of care and give it application of the scientific method of performance of nursing. Presents a patient entered the STU, of the Regional Hospital of Huambo in Angola, with the medical diagnosis of acute lung Edema, and explains the sequence of each of the stages that make up the process of nursing care.
