SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION OF TEACHERS AT HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS. CASE STUDY: INSTITUTO SUPERIOR POLITÉCNICO PRIVADO WALINGA DO MOXICO IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2023/2024.
Abstract
Scientific production constitutes one of the pillars through which higher education institutions are committed, taking into account their dimensions, and the institutions' teachers are the authors for the materialization of this aim, therefore, an institution that intends to raise its image before of the academic community and should not only opt for the route of encouraging scientific production to better internationalize the institution. The main objective of this research was to identify the causes of the weak scientific production of teachers at ISP Walinga. The methodology used in the research is based on qualitative and quantitative research using Google Form, which was used to collect data with the participation of 20 teachers. The research results demonstrated the factors that must be adopted to encourage teachers to publish scientific articles, where institutional incentive was pointed out as the main factor that triggers teachers to carry out scientific publications. Along the same path, the reasons for the lack of scientific production on the part of teachers were investigated, where it was pointed out that there is an insufficient incentive for publication. It was concluded that the lack of sufficient incentives was the main factor that triggers the non-publication of scientific articles by teachers.
